Very uplifting; good for grief, bereavement,
disappointment and if a person is not so afflicted,
will lift them higher from where they already are.

An old priest has lost his faith in God. He is bitter
and disappointed because God has never answered his
prayers, and has never spoken to him, in spite of a
whole life lived according to all the rules and trying
ever so hard, every single day. The old priest has many
aches and pains and doesn't sleep well. On this early
autumn morning, where all is misty and diffused, he
walks in the churchyard for something to do when he
hears the sounds of fine young voices rising - it is the
children's choir, practising, as they do every day, and
as he heard a million times before.
But on this day, here in the mist, something happens to
the old priest - it is as though an old wooden pain in
his heart cracks wide open, and at last, he hears the
song of angels. |
